NSEC is pleased to be a collaborator on RISE a successful £625,000 UKRI R&D Missions Accelerator Programme addressing Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG). Led by SPRITE+, the programme brings together partners from academia, government, policing, industry and the third sector to support the UK Government’s ambition to halve violence against women and girls over the next decade.
As part of NSEC’s commitment to supporting collaborative research and innovation that addresses national security and resilience challenges, NSEC contributed to the successful bid and is supporting stakeholder engagement and knowledge exchange activities across the programme.
Running from January to September 2026, RISE aims to strengthen prevention, protection, policing and wider system responses to VAWG through interdisciplinary research and cross-sector collaboration.
Through research, stakeholder engagement and funded project activity, RISE will help build the evidence base, strengthen partnerships across sectors, and support the development of practical, evidence-led solutions to improve safety and resilience across society.
